Quick vote: must see for vampire fans

The plot according to me: A secret agency captures a very cooperative vampire and conducts experiments on him.

Vampiristics: A standard vampire, cool feeding scene and lots of talk and demonstrations of specific vampire traits.

Vampire Pictures
Simon Molinar, a vampire who is being studied.

My opinion on the movie: After reading the summary of this movie it sounded like it would be different, but that doesn't always pan out to be so. This movie not only followed through with it's claims to being a different kind of vampire story, but I must say that I was blown away by it.

So what makes this movie so different? There is very little action of any kind. Instead, the movie concentrates on building the characters and having us view the analysis as it occurs, not quite sure where it's all leading. This is a very dangerous style of film in my opinion, but this movie pulls it off. There was not one point that my interest had dropped off, and when the plot finally came to the front, there was no disappointment.

This movie may not be for everyone, especially those that believe vampires are a sub-genre of horror, but I think this belongs on the shelf of anyone who is a fan of the vampire movie.

Special features: bloopers

My opinion on the disc: The picture and sound was both fine. I should note that while the site that sells the disc (http://www.customflix.com/Store/ShowTtl.jsp?id=204746) advertise it as a DVD-R, as far as I can tell it's no different than a mass-produced disc (no signs of being burned, looks pressed to me).

The bloopers is as you'd expect, just a bunch of scenes that were messed up one after the other. It was a nice bonus, not really much to say about it though.
